Zenash's mother, Aster, grew up in a rural area, and her family lived in poverty. As a result, she and her other siblings did not have the opportunity to go to school. So Zenash came to Hosanna at a young age and worked hard to support herself. She also tried to continue her education until the second grade during the night shift. Meanwhile, she met Afete, Zenash’s father, and started their own family. Then she gave birth to 4 children. But two years ago, she lost her husband, and since then, Aster has been struggling to support her family.

 

Zenash is the second child in her family. She is 10 years old and in 1st grade at Bobicho Elementary School in Hosanna. Her favorite subject is Math and she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
